California law, Government Code 8589.45 requires “every lease or rental agreement for residential property entered into on or after July 1, 2018” to include a specific flood hazard notice. Provision of the notice absolves the landlord from having to provide additional information regarding flood hazards.
This form allows the Landlord to obtain the advantages of providing the flood hazard notice prior to lease renewal. CAA’s Rental/Lease Agreements have included the required provision since January 2018. If your Rental/Lease Agreement already contains the required flood hazard notice, there is no need to use this form.
